The
child is curious. He wants to make sense out of things, find out how
things work, gain competence and control over himself and his
environment, and do what he can see other people doing. He is open,
perceptive, and experimental. He does not merely observe the world
around him, He does not shut himself off from the strange, complicated
world around him, but tastes it, touches it, hefts it, bends it, breaks
it. To find out how reality works, he works on it. He is bold. He is
not afraid of making mistakes.

Welcome
Parents
The
above children's websites have been specifically selected to provide
entertaining and educational content for children as young as 1
year. The activities, stories, videos and songs on these
websites assist young children in learning letter recognition, phonics,
reading, science, art, music, problem solving, as well as basic
computer navigation, mouse and keyboard skills. These sites all
have visual interface that allow
children who can not yet read to navigate them independently.
Early readers will find these sites equally enjoyable. We hope
you enjoy these
sites and most of all enjoy laughing, learning and growing with your
children.
Please
Note: While these sites have
been selected for their family friendly nature, they are maintained by
third party providers and as such we are unable to provide any
guarantee as to their content. The sites may contain outside
links that have not been approved for children or content of which you
may not personally approve. We recommend that the family computer
be placed in a common area that allows you to supervise your children's
internet use in the same way as you would monitor what they are
accessing on the television.
